Rand = Random. Built because we were tired of singing the same songs at karaoke.
What is RANDMUSIC?
RANDMUSIC is a free web service for karaoke lovers. Connect a YouTube playlist and it picks songs for you without repeating what you sang recently, builds a daily playlist from today's weather, date and season, and turns your own songs into party games.
What you can do
- Playlist picker – import any public YouTube playlist, then draw 1–20 songs. Songs picked in the last 7 days are excluded.
- Today's playlist – a fixed set for the day, chosen by weather, weekday/holiday and season, with a one-line reason for each song.
- Games & quizzes – random artist, random song, "artist streak", karaoke charts, and audio quizzes (guess the title from a 3-second clip, intro, artist, blurred cover, release year). Every question uses only songs you know.
- My playlists – per-song key, echo and tempo notes, public sharing and community recommendations.
- Karaoke party – invite friends with a code; we merge everyone's libraries into a set that suits all tastes, decide the singing order, and run a full-screen karaoke mode with song numbers.
- Song numbers – TJ and KY (Korea) plus JOYSOUND and DAM (Japan) numbers where available.
Data sources
YouTube Data API (playlists, artist names), Open-Meteo (weather), Deezer / iTunes (album art, 30-second previews, release dates), and the manana.kr karaoke database (song numbers and charts). No generative AI is used anywhere in the service.
